I have a Fighter, Thief, White Mage, and Black Mage.

The fighter is great in general (though a bit expensive). The thief sucks right now, but he's cheap and when he becomes a Ninja I've heard he's way better. The White Mage is for healing/fighting undead (obviously), and the Black Mage sucks at lower levels, but one your level 15 (or even level 10) he's one of your most powerful characters.

The thief is great though, 'coz if you REALLY need to run away, you can almost always rely on him. (one good tactic is if an enemy is too powerful, set everyone but the thief to attack/cast spells/whatever is useful, then anyone who isn't doing anything - run!)

I prefer a black belt over the thief, he needs no equipment after about level ten and ends up hitting harder than the fighter.

Anyone ever try to beat FF with 4 White Mages? Supposed to be possible, but damn hard! Of course, once you get to the end, you can give the Masamune to one of 'em... Damn, I wanna try it now! :p

I've heard you can do it with one white mage if you do a LOT of leveling up.

Um... You have to have 4 characters. Unless you mean letting the other 3 die and never ressurect them...

My god, that's just vile!

Geez, I gotta try that some day...

Chrono Update: Chrono's dead (I think he's hiding in the pendant), and now I'm running amok on the Blackbird.

It was allright, innovative, for sure! The GolemBoss was WAY too easy tho! I dunno if it was because he was on the wing of the Blackbird or not, but he was always freaking out about being afraid of heights! (I kept using Ayla's Rock Throw on him)

I got stuck on the emulated version of Chrono Trigger, the bit in the future where you must press some buttons didn't actually work, the emulator hated having more than two buttons pressed at once

Which emulator were you using? I use ZSNES, and it worked for me. Most emulators have an option where you can set two buttons to one key.

I usually have Chrono, Frog, and Lucca. Chrono = good all-around (though I don't think he excels too well in either hand-to-hand or techs, he's pretty well-balanced). Frog = great hand-to-hand and decent techs. Lucca = best techs in the game (IMO).

I use the same. Falcon Hit and Slurp Kiss are kickass combos, and Spire's pretty damn cool too!

But Magus disables your ability to use the techs with 3 people...... I guess it works well towards the end of the game when you're wielding the rainbow sword and nothing can stop you.......
