it's still stock as it sits... 205hp... I've had it to 145mph and still had more left.
So far, I really like the car... it's based on the European Opel/Vauxhall Astra which are pretty fast.

I've touched 115 mph in my 72 BMW 2002... it was surprisingly stable. I would have pushed a little more, but my tires are SHIT.

I figured you get to 5th gear about 2 hours once you have the keys to the car

140mph+ in my 280zx, but who really gives a crap about straight line speed. You guys need to take it to a road course.

oh but Big Dave, that's where the little SS is the shit... there is a road here, Tracy Road (google earth it)... it's 8 miles of corners corners and more corners. I can do it in about 4 minutes. The SS has a fantastic suspension under it, 18" wheels, grippy Pirellis.

we love twistys

The most fun road I've ever been on is one called Flinton Rd., just north of Tweed, Ontario... it's about 20 km long, with about 200 corners, and really smooth pavement.

My ex lived in Flinton, and when ever we got in an argument while driving, I'd take that road... she'd always quiet down a bit.

And just one thing to add, Samurai, Volvos get their fair share of love in NY. If you've ever been to Ithaca, you'll understand. It's like some dark magic cult following there.

Sucks about your mirror man....
