was very easy in my case, but most (maybe all) hams radios will ahve to be modified for this as it is outside the regular ham bands (obviously) and teh radios are restricted to in band operation, but most radios cna be easily modified. When my radio came the first thing i did was modify it for extended frequencies, and did the smae to Ranger's. Then it was a simply matter of programming the frequencies in and we were ready to play. For FRS u would be on the 70cm band often referred to as the 440 band (440mhz)

for MURS would be 2M band
