Well, Did some more research, and looks like I will probably be going with either an SP-50 or P1225, since I can get them off ebay, and are in my price range. and then all I think I want them to do now is FRS 1,3,7 , Eaton Center security, and then just any other interesting channels, The only real reason I want it, is for the FRS, since the standard FRS radios are crap, and to listen to other interesting frequencies like the Eaton Center security.

If you get a P1225, make sure you get a 16 channel version.

I'd recommend either a P1225 16 channel or a GP300 16 channel - they are pretty much identical.

You could also get an SP50...they can be converted to 10 channels easily.

Only problem with these radios is you can't receive the TTC very well (if at all).

Did he say why he wouldn't honour the sale?

I'd give him mad negative feedback.

I am looking for a 16 channel UHF handheld which i can program FRS channels into... does anyone have any used ones that they are willing to sell? (with charger)

Otherwise I have a UHF Motorola MaxTrax 100. I have several CB Mobile radios of various types... I also have a small 2 watt VHF Radio which i never use.

I have a number of interesting motorola and general electric type STL and broadcast type radios in my basement, i really havent looked thru them. My company was throwing them out but didnt want someone to pick them up and use them... so they gave them to me. I also have a nice 2 channel VHF Radio from general electric which i had to make a battery pack for...

maybe this thread should be pruned back to the origional concept of it, or even a new one started, just to list what radios you have, and then have one for discussion.
