lol i know. but i feel so horrible doing it, because we have been friends for ages. but i dunno,weve grown apart. and it would seem that i am the only person who sees this. sigh.

Maybe they're just lonely.

Just ignore them until they go away. After awhile it gets entertaining. I actually just did that this month, 10 year friendship down the drain, but do i care? no.

ya ...when you ignore then you get a creepy stalker sometimes haha.

Tell the person as gently as possible that you don't want to continue the friendship and to leave you alone. S/he will be hurt but will get the message.

I would continue to ignore them. They were a friend first, so it's not like they are stalking. They will get the hint.

I had a friend like this, and after a year of ignoring, he finally went away. But now whenever I am outside, I am scared I will see him and it'll be really awkward.

It is kind of a coward's way out though, and I think in the long term it's meaner.

no it is not a special friend lol. we were friends in college, when he was a she, lol, and now she is a he, not that that has anything to do with it at all, lol, but anyway he lives in boston now and vicariously tries to have a social life through me, and its becoming irritating because i have lost touch with the people we wetre hanging out with a year and a half ago when he used to live down here in jersey.

and once a month or so im supposed to clear my entire weekend so he can come down here and stay at my apartment, and we do whatever he wants, which usually literally works out to nothing, one time he came and we watched tv all day on sunday, its just retarded and annoying. i know hes lonely and all, but its not my fault that he decided to move to boston and now makes zero effort to make some friends up there.

and he keeps whining that i need to come visit, but i dont want to spend that kind of money on driving up to boston to visit, i am pretty broke, and i have found i can only tolerate him for a couple hours at a time, such as at a bar like we used to do when he lived around here. spending an entire weekend with him is incredibly taxing. so i tell him i have no money and he tells me to take a bus, i am not doing that shit.
