So my 3 year old daughter forgot to pick up her toys... again. What's new?

Well, it was dark and I stepped on one of her little disney princess things that is holding an umbrella.

Now my first instinct, of course was to lift my foot and step somewhere else, but I found myself stepping (in the same place on my foot I must add) on a jumbo lego piece.

I never knew you could bruise the bottom of your foot. Every time I walk, it feels like I'm stepping on a fork.

Urgh!

Well my dear you need to add that to the list. Every parent will do that once and then it will happen again for sure. I can tell you also that it will more than likely be a freakin lego. All of my friends and I have done it. Every time we get together and parent related injuries come up we all chime in, interrupt before the new one can say anything and screech LEGO!!!!!! They are like how did you know!!!

Oh man that hurts. The worst thing ive ever stepped on, was an Ertl toy airplane with on its wheels. The rear tail was sticking up. I woke up everyone in the house with my scream.

Yeah.

I had a mouse trap snap on my finger right across the knuckle one fine morning. Had cleared and reset it. Hair trigger was too sensitive and it went off before I could let it go!

The scream I gave out scared the dog!

No need to. I'm sure your husband will show you when he gets home.

And yup, I can tell.

Yeah. Stepping on stuff. First it was the squeaky things. And then it was the squeaky things that lit up, and then it was the squeaky things that lit up and talked/barked/meowed/etc. Every night was a minefield.

Now it's Lego. Try stepping on Lego at 3 AM. In the dark. On the way to take a piss and you step on a chunk of Lego with your bare foot. Dead center...the flat meat of your foot. You buckle over and grab your foot, lose your balance, trip over the cat, jam your knee on the wall, and then you're so rattled that when you finally get to the toilet, you piss all over your foot.
