sean, have you been out to rehobeth to try the alehouse 75? it's a mix of the 60 and 90, but is for some reason much better than the sum of its parts.

i've always said that girls' palettes are not as advanced as guys'.

bullshit!

Guilty Pleasure:
Ephemere from Unibroue, because I have to drive to frickin' Asheville to get it.
And Rogue beers, especially Double Dead Guy. I've got a special place in my heart for Rogue. Also hard to find.

Go-To Beer:
Honestly it depends on where I am, but Sierra Nevada works at more places so we'll go with that.

Go-To Cheap Beer:
Killian's, preferably. But I recently got rather drunk via a keg of PBR so, y'know... whatever happens to be available.

Classy Beer:
Delirium Nocturnum, Nostradamus from Brasserie Caracole, Weihenstephaner Heffe Weisbier

Sierra Nevadas are good...
Hook & Ladder...
Long Hammer...
Shock Top...
Landshark...
Newcastle Brown...
anything Dog fish head...
Rolling Rock (My mom still has a case of PA brewed RR!)
Corley gave me a Nugget Nectar once and it was the shit.

Coors or Keystone as a go to (yeah theyre the same thing), though Yuengling is just a little bit more and so much better. And the black and tan Yuengling is pretty good.

Oh and Olde English or Colt 45 when 40's are called for

Guilty Pleasure:
Driving to Toronto solely to go to C'est What, The Beer Bistro or the Granite Brewery.

Go-To Beer:
London is simply not beer friendly. Chancy Smith's (market) and the King Edward (Ilderton) are about the only decent establishments for beer. Hell, there isn't even a microbrewer here (though I quite like the Iron Spike Amber from Railraod City in St Thomas which is quite close).

In most places I'll ask what IPAs or bitters are available on tap. When met with the inevitable doe-eyed blank stare from the waitress/waiter I will try for bottled Unibroue (Maudite or Fin du Monde), when they say "excuse me?" I'll just order Guiness or some homogenous crap like Keith's Red.

Go-To Cheap Beer:
Maclays. It's not very good, but it's better than the other bargain brands I have tried.

Classy Beer:
What's a classy beer?

Go-To Beer: Magic Hat #9. Gotta love the apricot beers, and a lot of places have it. Failing that, whatever generic looking lager they have on tap.

Go-To Cheap Beer: Yuengling lager. $15 for a 24 rack, and drinkable. PBR if I must. Key Light if I'm playing a sport and can't find any water.

Classy Beer: Pinkus Hefewiesen or Munster Alt; Westmalle dubble or Rochefort 8 if in a Belgian mood; Sam Adams Octoberfest if it's in season (yeah, not really all that fancy, but still delicious); Celebrator Dopplebock or Reissdorf Kölsch if I want a darker beer.

Ridiculous beer:
Could just bust out my '09 Utopias...

Thanksgiving brews:

Lancaster brewing company hop hog, winter warmer, Sam adams Old Fezziwig Ale and Victory's golden monkey. <3

the golden monkey and winter warmer are dangerously drinkable @ 9.5% and 8.9%, they're fantastic.

Oh, and corley, I just saw your post from forever ago asking if I'd been down to the brewpub in Rehobeth to sample dogfish's selection of rare brews; absolutely. I've been going there and the brewery in Milton for the last few years every couple of months or so. My girlfriend is obsessed with a couple of their brews that I can't find in stores around here so it gives me a chance to head down there as much as possible. I had the alehouse 75 a couple years ago but every time I've been down there lately, it wasn't on the menu. Dunno if it was just the days I went or what, but I was upset - it is delicious, and I agree, it is the better of the the two (60min and 90min).
