Forgot about the Scout, Little flat head 4 in the beginning. 1948 Suburban?
Although that might be more utility than sport.

i had a 1971 Bronco half-top (302, 3speed manual). I had mine on 33" tires. We tried to get it stuck. It laughed. Back when I had, there was this place called Cheney Swamp that all the mudders went. Towards the middle of 1993, it was attracting a crowd. Anyways, my Bronco was always the one pulling trucks out of the mud. If my Bronco couldn't unstick you, you had to get a cable and a skidder.

My dad had a 1976 Bronco with the 200 I6 in it, 3 speed manual... that would also go anywhere on the tires it had. I remember that it was unstoppable in the snow.

i beat you all... 1975 gmc sierra 3 speed with a low, np203 transfer case with a pto full time 4x4. In the bed was a holmes 440 towtruck rig running off the PTO. dual batteries, rubber push bumper and jumper cables wrapped around the front and lets not forget the snow plow. imagine the most badass tow truck you ever saw and make it uglier!

I need to take a pic of my friend's tow truck... it's a late 60's Jeep pickup body, painted some heinous shade of green. Dodge 440 under the hood, Dana 6 (i think) front end, and the rear diff from a school bus. Duallys, a Holmes 440 wrecker, home made everything, no muffler, just open header. It's called the "Green Bastard".

I drove tow recovery trucks for area police agencys in the late '80's, had to pull an upside down car out of a pool at 3am once, the poeple spilled out as it came up.

The owner of the company was a total motor head, and put a small block vett motor with headers and an intake and cam in a holmes 440 that I was issued, exhaust exited both banks just before the left rear, god it sounded sooo sweet at all rpm ranges, but the best was underground garages!!!!!

We had a little yard hydra boom, it was a chevy luv with a V8 & headers, and no doors, this helped alot in the rows of cars we'd have to work in and around.

God I miss that job!!

i find the holmes 440 just looks badass, mine was in the stock pickup bed. never used the thing the whole time i had it though, it was cus the truck was only 1500$ when i bought it. it had clearance lights on the cab and 4 rotating lights, if it had had a wheel lift i would have loved to move peoples cars at partys

I ran a lot of wheel lifts, but when it came to wrecks, the chain lift is so much better.
