| | | Posted by Nismo so basically its the american equivalent to a Civic LX with type r badges? interesting
| no, but i see where you are going with this. Correct me if I am wrong, but my reckoning of the Civic Type R and all the other Type whatever Hondas was that they were the top of the line performance model. In GM speak, the 'RS' model was always an appearance package with a special option group. The RS really was not the uber-performance model. Now, keeping with this theme, the "SS" was split between being a similarly flavored option/appearance group and having some meat under the hood. The "Z" cars eventually replaced the SS, well until recently. Now, had I went whole hog with "SS" or some "Z" variant badging, well then the snide little Type R comment would have warranted. This was a case of me thinking "what if"... Anything else you'd like to snotty or smarmy about? at least it didn't have a fart bazooka hanging out the back, 25" wheels at each corner and lowered so far it would get caught on an ant hill. It was not a rolling cliche... it was very much a labor of love.
