Cr400 I think that may be a Cadillac Cyclone concept car from the 1950's

It is a concept car, just not a Cad.

That Sir Vival car is so nasty looking, when I think of safety I think of nimble handling, powerful, fantastic brakes. Stuff to avoid an accident completely. That Sir Vival car looks like it is looking to get in an accident.

I can only imagine the jumpy handling from the hinged front, at high speed it must have been jittery. The drivers turret, if you rolled it your head would have been the first thing to go. It was a well publicized car for it's time. It's still cool even for all it's faults that it's still here. I guess someone really thought we would be driving cars like that in the next century. It belongs in a museum somewhere not locked away in a shed rusting.

Just read my prior post, god I bashed that car, If somebody gave it to me i'd give it a great home and take care of it. I actually think it's pretty cool. I would however wish to purchase something else, if I had to pay for it!!

Korect!

Those trucks were real high end pieces of equipment in their day. I saw one in downtown L.A. a few years ago, it was still going strong and being used as a landscape truck.

Good one CaptOrbit, and great links. Official name from the movie Mystery Men is the Herkimer Battle Jitney.

They're way cool. My Dad had two in the mid sixties. The first one broke 'cause he hit a tree. The gas tank, (front mounted) ended up about 50 feet away. The scar was on the large tree for decades and he was not injured. Alcohol may have been/okay was a factor.

The remake looks good, but damn, do it right, put the engine in the back like the original.

I love that tractor, Ford also makes an art deco style tractor with fender skirts, it's gorgeous. I think it was made in the thirtys or forties, and it was known as an orchard tractor.

Ditto with the New Beetle... admittedly, I LOVE my NB... but the engine is in the wrong end.
