oh but of course.
toyota is so wonderful.

when was the last time they built a car with balls and spirit? That's right, the Supra. Then they went into the appliance business.

BUT... atleast they are IN business and not bankrupt!! Hard to knock that

as far as that car goes.. HOLY FUCK it's sweet. like a better version of a GT-R. That reminds me, i saw a GTR in the parking lot of the casino on the weekend....... hot damn is that a sweet ride

Some preppy 22 year old jerk (with very rich parents I assume) brought his brand new GT-R to the 8:00 showing of Fast and the Furious 4 opening day. We had to fight through the crowd who were busy envying his 2 inch penis.

I like the GT-R but 80,000 is a really steep price tag; considering you can't replace/work on the engine without rendering the car useless.

If you've been in the game for "20" years and youre still blind to the shit that they produce, then I feel very sorry for you, and if anything that makes you the fanboy. I like vw's (more for the community aspect and because theyre fun and provide a nice luxury and good HP to TQ ratio) but I'm open minded to any other car as long as its a *QUALITY* product. Ive driven tons of different cars ranging from shitty 500 dollar domestics to 200k exotics, so I can have an opinion, but I guess if it isnt your way that it isnt right.

Slightly stereo-typical don't you think?
If for any particular reason I had an abundance of excess cash (through inheritance, lottery winnings, rich family or whatever) ... bet your ass i'd be rolling around in a ride with $100K

Appreciate the ride for being a sweet performing car ... keep your insults to yourself.

My dad has a Dodge A100 van. Thing is a beast!
Needs a major tune up tho.
And a Chevy scottsdale pick up.
He loves it, Sadly it has sat idle rotting away the past like 6 years.
Muffler fell off when the driver side door was shut.

The dude was a walking stereotype. Every other word out of his mouth was "Brah"
My insults were towards the driver; and the mostly female onlookers worshiping him. Not the car. Though there are better cars available if your price-tag is $100K. Or invest $100k in OPEC stock wait for oil to go back up to 5 bucks a gallon, cash out; and use THAT money to buy a Hennessey Viper.

If I won the lottery tomorrow... I'd trade my car in for an Legacy GT and go to college. Set some cash aside and wait a few years to buy a 2012 370z then put enough modifications into it; that it drifts circles around the GT-R.

This forum is fun, this is just a topic that has you riled up for whatever reason! chill man, it's cool
We can talk about Toyota's losses all day long. In fact, in first quarter 2009 GM lost $6 Bill... Toyota in the ballpark of $7.5 Bill. GM lost it because their legacy costs per vehicle are astronimically high... Toyota because they invested a ton of coin in increasing manufacturing capacity, now most of which is underused or not used at all. Both are getting their ass kicked by lack of lending = poor sales. There is no difference except that GM is going to be bankrupt, Toyota is not.

This is the game of business we're dealing with and there's only ONE scoresheet for the game. MONEY!

Well, GM is only loosing 1.5 billion less than Toyota. I think I will take those pesky legacy costs

This just in........ lol
Turns out that although Toyota lost over 7 Billion in the quarter, they actually only lost 4.5 Bill on the fiscal year. A veritable pot hole compared to General Motors crater of a loss of over 31 Bill

Currently GM has approximately 11 Billion cash on hand........ Toyota 30 Bill. I'm no accountant but I'm fairly confident which balance sheet I'd prefer to be working with.

Just reporting the facts. I'm not biased in any way despite that fact that my Hummer was NOT manufactured by Toyota lol
