I would like to propose that we change the highway setup so HOV lane stands for Hybrid Only Vehicles. And make it illegal for Hybrids to use any other lane. And if an asshat in a hybrid is caught hypermiling @ 45MPH in the passing lane; I demand legislation authorizing nay, mandating state police to PITT maneuver the vehicle. And then hand out ridiculous fines.

My worst nightmare is to get caught on a four lane highway behind a wall of Priuses all going a steady 45MPH downhill ... and then 90MPH on the uphill.

Around here, Prius drivers simply keep the speed limit. Which is somewhat slow, but at least they're good. I have a running joke/bet with my fiancée that a Prius will have either an ADK (Adirondacks) sticker or a Ron Paul sticker on it, and that at least one of the passengers will be wearing horn-rimmed glasses and a scarf. You wouldn't believe how often it's true. If it's not some totalfuckinghipster, it's an old guy in a tweed jacket and a silly little cap.

Wait for the Hybrid mini-vans to start rolling out. An army of fuel efficient soccer moms hypermiling 20 under.

Hopefully the police will start issuing "impeding the flow of traffic" to these jerkoffs.

There will be no redemption. 10 years from now "gaz guzzler" will be applied to all non-hybrid vehicle...fuck.

The only thing that annoys me more than Priuses and their snooty drivers is the fact that cop shows and such consistently say PIT(T) Maneuver, when PIT stands for Precision Immobilization Technique. The word "technique" makes the work "maneuver" redundant. But most cops are too stupid to know better. It's kind of like people who say ATM Machine.

I saw a blinged out prius at the X Games last year done by (I think) West Coast Customs on big rims, with custom leather and stuff. It was still gay.

I saw something today I never thought I'd see here...an honest to god Flex Fuel Impala. Not a rental, some contractor at the mill has one.

Yes, I saw the tag on the trunk which said "Flex Fuel".

Flex Fuel has been an option on the Imapala since 2006. However, GM along with Ford and Chrsyler design to use E85 is actually more a cheap hack so you actually don' get the true fuel economy found in engines that run only E85.

just pray that you never ever have to replace parts of that Flex Fuel or Ford's FFV system... BIG TICKET ITEMS!!!

I rented an Impala the very first time i was in Denver a couple of years ago. I drove it to Winter Park and Estes Park, and all over Denver in general. It actually wasnt bad. There is plenty of room and i enjoyed the whole layout of the dashboard.
