This one's good till Nov 15, Metawaffle posted it. Not really sure how long the UER10 (10%) is good for. The whole 'march of technology' thing is going to be a real pain in the wallet, ain't it? And someone in that thread mentioned an 18650 body - where do I get one of those?

Those are the release dates. 4sevens has been working on a multimode MC-E light (Maelstrom 500 I think), a AAA (the Preon), and just the other day they mentioned a 2000 lumen "G2 sized" light! Ive honestly been pretty much absent from CPF for about 2 weeks, I just hang out in the 4sevens forums now a' days.

Just tried to pre-order with the QUARK15 discount and it was a no go. The UER discount worked though.

Haha nope? Thats weird I tried it about 10 times. Did you try it on the turbo? In his post he said it was only good for the XP-E Quarks, not XP-G.

Yeah, it's not working for that one . I guess that -is- the 15% off coupon there. UER10 will work on the Turbo, so order separately with free shipping if you're getting XP-E and -G both, maybe.

Yup! I never knew they were so small!?!? This is my first Quark and also the smallest 123*2 light Ive ever handled! In comparison with all my other 2 cell Surefires this thing is tiny!

Well it finally came in today! Just like my other Quark Ti the packaging is high quality and protects the light well. In the package there was the light a TURBO 123*2 with a Cree XP-G R5 emitter. An extra switch cover and o-rings, a special grip handle thingy, a nice holster, and a neck lanyard.

Now the light itself is pretty lightweight. The Tailcap on the TURBO is a newer style tailcap and a lot different than the ones on the regular Quarks. The pocket clip is nice and holds firm to a pants pocket or belt, this light is designed for bezel down carry. The head is the most important feature on this light! It has an increased diameter and length along with a larger smooth reflector. It also incorporates some heat fins into it for heat dissipation. This light is a thrower for sure! The beam shape is much smaller than my Ti XP-G Quark and sadly I don't have a regular Quark to compare it too. The hotspot is WAY smaller than the Ti Quark and actually smaller than the LX2. What this translates to is a light with a lot of throw (great for spotting and long distance) the spill on my light is still really good and useful for task's at closer range. 4sevens originally said that with the smooth reflector the "Cree rings" (Ugly beam characteristic leaves rings going outward of the LED) would be visible but honestly I cant see any mine is actually very clean.

Overall this light is well executed just like my Ti Quark! There are no blemishes in the anodizing, the etching is very clean, all the parts are well machined, and the fit and finish is as close to perfect as you can get. The LED is actually held in place and centered by a special ring and I don't know much about it but from what Ive been told it also acts as a shock absorber to help protect the LED when its dropped.

This light is a multimode light. It only has 2 modes accessible at any time but they are programmable from 5 different modes and you can also choose strobe, SOS, or beacon. These are taken straight from the 4sevens site.
Moonlight: 0.2 lumens for 30 days, (1ma)
Low: 4 lumens for 5 days (10ma)
Medium: 22 lumens for 20 hours (50ma)
High: 85 lumens for 4.5 hours (250ma)
Max: 230 lumens for 1.8 hours (990ma)
Strobe: 230 lumens for 3 hours
Beacon: 0-230 lumens pulse for 23 hours

Yep it is! I also like the look of the larger head vs. the uniform size of the regular Quarks. Meta did you ever order that 18650 body? Im thinking I will order an 18650 and a 123*1 body for my turbo head. I will also have more news for you guys either around midnight tonight or tomorrow morning. 4sevens is releasing something else thursday. Something tells me its their MC-E light =) I want it so bad but Ive got NO money right now.

I am still tempted by the 18650 body, but I only just bout the 2xAA body. The only reason I bought the AA body was that the 18650 wasn't around.... aargh

The announcement was a headlamp kit for people that currently own Quarks! It looks pretty cool and its only $20. If I had a single cell quark I would probably get one.

Yeah, that looks great! I'd grab it for sure if I didn't already have the Fenix headband.

I dont want to sound like Im advertising for 4sevens (although I might as well lol) So unless I buy a new light I will just update this thread with new 4sevens products.

Yall seen the AAA Preons yet? Theyre affordable, modular, light weight, XP-G, and also come in all different colors and Titanium!!! I may eventually get a Ti but im flat broke and saving up for their MC-E torch instead.
