And I just got mine. 1990 Pontiac Grand Am, 203K on the body, 117K on the 2.5l 4-cylinder engine, automatic transmission. New tires, new alternator, starter, radiator, and battery. Good interior, not bad body rust for 19 years old. $700...Not bad eh?

I've named her Jezebel.

isn't that funny? it's like there were millions of these things running around and then POOF!, just like the dinosaurs, they're extinct. Some makes/models are funny like that.

well this place all the cars ar on the ground or balancing on rims used as jackstands. I was looking for headlights for my grand prix (ots got cataracts) but seems like a common problem. I did get a front and read bumper from a GTP for 80$

I don't see many this body style around here, either, come to think of it. Lots of Grand Prix's from this era running around though.

Wow, those do not exist anymore here. Even in the scrap yards they are just flakes of rust in a pile.

Okay, new plan, apparently: Restore it to its former glory; donate to a museum.

now now... the last two years of the Cimarron, it was basically a four door Z24. It was just a really bad stab at Caddy trying to reinvent itself (and schill a few small cars out there door). It was as mispriced and misdirected as the Seville in the 70's, the Catera and the 90's and the early years of the CTS.

Ah the Cimarron. I feel a lil bad about 2 of which I killed. Worked for a used car lot and we use 2 of em as parts runners. One had 80,000 miles and the other a shit ton more. Took the trunk off the higher mile one so we could tote motors and trannys with it (only the trannys from the junkyard before someone says something lol). We (sadly) used them like this cause we couldn't sell the damned things. Hell we even offered BOTH of em for $500. No takers. Wish I had saved em. Lol wouldn't have been worth anymore than when I bought it but would make a interesting conversation piece lol. Damn I miss em.

there was an old man up the street from me when i was a kid with a cimarron, he treated it like a real caddy! i loved the fact it looked just like my dads J2000 right down to the dashboard, at least buick and olds in the early years had new dashboards!

sam, you are a J body fan, what was your favorite dash. the buick/olds with the money clip, the cavalier/sunbird/cimarron dash, the early z24 dash, the 91 and newer cavalier dash (with cupholders) or the 89 and later sunbird wrapararound dash

the 86-90 Z24/RS dash
without hesitation... especially with the digital gages.

I will always have a place in my heart for digital dashes, especially those in the Z24. Very reminiscent of the Vette's.

my 88 Cavalier RS 2.0L had the digital dash in it. When you got over 85, the speedo display would flash.
