I'm surprised they didn't force you to buy 7 tires, some for garden tractors and some for an SUV or something. Okay, jk, I don't like putting any company down, but when they deliver a crap product or service, we really are helping things by complaining or going on a rant, and they really deserve it. Eventually word gets out, and they improve or go out of business.
Here's what I like about CT:
Decades ago I had lost all respect from banks, my credit rating was below zero. I crawled into a CT store, trying to buy a six pack. After realizing they don't sell Molson Canadian, (easy mistake eh
, I got a CT credit card with a 300.00 limit! That would be about 1000.00 in today's economy.
Over a period of about 3 weeks I rebuilt my credit rating, and then went on to land the big Visa, and regained my reputation as a card carrying credit whore.
Last winter we had serious snow. No one had snow tires for my Dad's Echo. One CT store did, they held them, and then the guy agreed to sell me only two, after first refusing.
He said the only way I can sell you two, is if you tell me you already have two of the same tires. Not one to lie, I did, because it was a special occasion, (Christmas + snow) and he said; 'that's the right answer'
Someone else was going to install them, the law now says, it's four or none. Ended up buying four, because the guy wasn't a tool, and four is actually better with the new ubergrip ice radials. Plus it's the law apparently.
Also sometimes CT has amazing sales. 100.00 tools can be got for 35.00 bucks.
Sure they should never have sold for more than 49.95, but the illusion of value feels so good. Some Masterkraft electric cutting tools are made by reputable companies like Ryobi...
And the money, woot, it's printed on paper that feels, smells, rolls and tastes like real money. If only they would exchange it for cash.
