there are fistfights on who gets to do the PDI's on Camaros.
by the way, that guy got his Camaro that he ordered with the Foose hood, the supercharger, and SLP exhaust... they think that he was the Camaro that outran the state police before the blizzard the other night.

Adirondack Chevrolet has sold like 20 or 25 Camaros since they debuted.
One customer came all the way from Michigan to get his SS(2)

We can only get them so quickly here, being a little dealership. But they've all been pre-sold.

Quite frankly I wish you'd exercise that option more often.

Hook line and sinker, you never disappoint. I thought pushing your buttons wasnt possible?

Anyway, the numbers don't lie and even China doesnt want it so i guess beauty is only skin-deep. it's too bad AM General lost their focus for building good military vehicles, they might have had something to offer a potential buyer at this point. H2 and H3 will go down in history as a folly that refused to adapt to market conditions and sunk the whole division as a result...

I don't know a ton about the AM General times in the Hummer business, but i think it's important not to mix up the military and civilian arms of the businesses.
The issue as far as i can read is not with the Chinese companies not wanting it, as much as it is the Chinese red tape in acquiring such a beast. Heavily regulated to say the least

As far as the H3 & H2 goes, they were an extremely profitable set of vehicles for Hummer/GM. More so the H2 as it was popular during the consumption era in north american history, where as the 3 was a year into it's lifespan when things shifted. There is a huge brand loyalty from Hummer owners, myself included as I look at moving from the baby Hummer to it's bigger brother. Any Hummer owner will tell you....there's something about it taht just can't be explained. It's a love it or hate it kinda ride

I'm not sure how a poorly diversified division such as Hummer could adapt to market conditions?! It's a one horse division....big bulky gas consuming niche market vehicle. A Hummer badge on anything other then something unique and overkill would seem like a bastardization of the purpose of the brand that would never fly with the consumer.

Obviously 2009 into 2010 was the downturn..... look prior to. If auto sales for any company had continued strong in 2009 we wouldn't have the automotive debacle across the board that we currently have....everyone tanked. So you're a small volume producer, with a limited client base and minimal market share....that writing is on the wall.

I don't see what's ironice about it !? If you're a one hit wonder, you're a one hit wonder, plain and simple. That's what Hummer was.

Good call. Though i've never been a Jeep fan, they serve a purpose and do so very well. To a purist like jeepdave, a Liberty, Commander, Compass & Patriot probably should have worn a dodge badge. I assume they've done well though, I see them everywhere. Ive driven all of them, and was disappointed by them all. At the time I selected an HHR over the Compass and Patriot for the purchase I was making

i have to assume that the pseudo-Jeeps were decisions made by Daimler to maximize profits of corporate platforms. Still, how do you take a Jeep Compass or Patriot seriously? I mean, Jeeps based on shitty Dodges that were no good to begin with?

?
Despite your belief that i'm sensitive to what you say, i'm not!
I didn't open a thread about Hummer expecting hugs and consoling pats on the back LOL It's a hated brand...I knew it when I got it, I know it today.... and I still love it.

I'm genuinely interested to know what you see is ironic about a single focused brand that couldn't adapt to change.

GM never made the military Humvee... those are manufactured by AM General which was what was left of AMC after Jeep was sold to Chrysler.
