great all we need is buick, cadilac, chevrolet and GMC to go and were done.

I've had really good luck with Buick, Chevrolet and GMC so I'm glad they're still here.

As for Hummers, they may be great for the 'out of the way' spots but they're not meant for the city. One less toy for the little rich people. (Until another one comes along)

All I've ever owned had been Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Chevrolet, and Saturn. I've never had a real bad time with anything.

Hummer however had a big part in killing my ideal car. The EV1.

I'm glad to see it go.

I don't care about Hummer either. The only thing ever cool about the H2 was it's appearance in Zombieland.

It's also no more offroadable than a modified Chevy Suburban, which it's based on. And the Suburban is a better looking vehicle in comparison too.

IFS like the H2 setup (the H1 is a different beefier design altogether) sucks for real offroading, there are plenty of better candidates for offroading that are better suited and won't ruin your bank account if you have a few scrapes against boulders.
Better and cheaper to build up an XJ Cherokee, pre 91 Chevy Suburban or K5 with solid axles, etc.

The H3 actually wasn't a bad vehicle, FWIW, especially the H3 SUT or whatever they called it.

AM General was also created far before AMC was dissolved, back when they were still making derivatives of the M715 trucks back in the early 70s, as well as 6x6s. AMC created it to produce vehicles for their military accounts just like it's earlier iteration, Kaiser-Jeep had.

Lastly, I'm glad this happened. I would not feel comfortable with the Chinese building Hummers when the US military uses the original Hummer. Even though they're separate vehicles and business entities that's a little too close for comfort, and the Chinese are known for pushing the envelope with that shit. They were making the Jeep Cherokee for years after Chrysler told them to stop making them under license.

I have a customer with an H3, license plate says "PULMYHUM"

He says he's had it towed more than he's driven it. At least he has a sense of humour about it.

LOL that's kinda funny actually
You guys are an authorized Hummer dealer too?

I have to date "only" found myself on a flatbed once. Hummer Edmonton put all new heads, gaskets etc... essentially a whole new top end on it with about 40,000km on it. Doucebag tech didn't set the timing right so under moderate to heavy braking it would stall. It was like a suicide mission trying to drive through Edmonton to bring it back, so I made Roadside Ass. bed it back to the dealer

Nope, but we have to service all kinds of GM stuff, warranty or not.

The warranty thing is one of my beefs. Alberta has two Hummer dealers only. I'm next door to a GM Dealer, but they can't perform warranty service. I have to drive 2 hours to Edmonton.

I guess the earliest 2006 H3's would now be coming off of warranty, or if someone racked up some clicks.
