I love steelies. Well, then again I have an off road kink. I have always been able to hammer out a bent steel wheel. I have broken several aluminum wheels. But its just me. ( And ya gotta admit old Ralleys are pretty sharp )

I would put the money from the fenders somewhere else, fenders are a waste of money. I would prolly put that money into going faster, slowing down faster or turning faster.

Styling mods come last.

when the Beretta was introduced in 1988, (i am old enough to remember that) the optional Z51 handling package was enough for the car to set a record for lateral g's attained by an FWD car. Sure, by todays standards, it's nothing. But in 1988, that was something special.
I've always liked the Beretta even though they were a hit or miss car... you either got one that was 10 feet tall and bulletproof, or was a flaming piece of shit.

yeah we had alot of money and time invested into ours to make it faster. we built alot of odd ball fastish cars. like a K car that ran 16 pounds of boost for daily use and 27 at the track, we then put that into a shadow rs, it was awsome.
we built a 5 speed turbo caravan too.
but the beretta was completely gutted, roll cage installed, people thought it was hidious but were always upset when it spanked them

In all fairness to every other make, there werent very many FWD cars from the 80's that could do po dunk. This "package" was probably a lame set of stronger springs.

actually, it was 15" steel wheels (aluminums mid year), stickier, larger Goodyear GT's, larger stabilizer bar in the front (31mm) and a stabilizer bar in the rear swing arm (27mm), strut bar (dealer installed), stiffer springs, struts and shocks. The J-body was available with the similar FE3 (Chevy/Olds) and Y99 (Pontiac) package. All of this was an outgrowth of the Citation X11 program.

I like the rims, they really suit it.

My friend just put Beretta GTZ wheels on his '01 Cavalier, looks pretty cool.

i had been looking for 87 Z24 wheels before I realized that I wasn't going to find a set, i order four BFG Radial T/A's in 215-60-14... so I was stuck with the tires. I ordered the wheels from Discount Tire for $271 out the door. The tires were $400 from Adirondack Chevrolet in Elizabethtown NY. There is still much work to be done to the Beretta to make it cherry again.

I've always liked the look of the Beretta as it really shows that 80s GM styling well.
