I have around $300-$400 to spend, what you got?

I'd sell you mine with the kit lens 18-55mm and 50mm f/1.8 (af broken mf still works), two compact flash cards, and two batteries, camera strap, targus tripod for $400 when we meet up next week. That's a damn good deal.

The only problem is then I'd have nothing to shoot with. ;)

If I run across a 50d\t1i body for $600 in my travels or if you are willing to wait until before I head home I'd be more than willing.


Rebel XT + kitlens @ 18mm

The kitlens is in good condition and has had a UV filter on it since I got it ... the 50mm Autofocus is broken since it fell off my kitchen counter onto linoleum.

_{P.S. you didn't say superwide, I'm sorry but I wouldn't sell my Sigma 10-20 for under $450 because it's still in mint condition.}

That sounds pretty fantastic! and yeah, I can wait a while, I still have a paycheck that needs to come in first. I wasnt expecting anyone to get back to me this quickly!

We are going out to Detroit and elsewhere after the meet so I'm not exactly sure when we are heading back to new england but hopefully we can work something out, Dayton isn't too far out of the way.

Been thinking about buying a t2i since the specs were released, too bad they are sold out online (except ebay). Not that it matters, I have enough cash, but it would make travel expenses nonexistent.

Actually if you have the cash by the end of the meet, I'll bring my EOS-3 and just shoot film for the rest of my trip ... film would be less likely to be jumped over in the D.

The indy meet is only June 25-27th but I may be staying in the midwest until July 3-4th at the latest. But I'm not sure if we'll even head back through Dayton

I have to be back in CT by july 5th and I'm ridesharing with injektilo, I don't know where we will be leaving from.

Ideally if you had the cash by the 27th, that would be the best time to make the trade (minus the 2gb card which would be full of pictures I can mail that to you if you like)


I'll tell you what. If you don't have the money by the time we meetup, I'll knock off the tripod and include free shipping. (it's only a cheapo $30 tripod but bulky which would add to shipping)

$450 extra for the lens, it goes for about 500 new ... you can find them used on ebay for 3-something.
I'm not really interested in selling my sigma 10-20mm...
I'd be replacing it with a sigma 8-16 or canon 10-22 but I won't have that much money this summer.

It's a Targus 66" tripod, I was throwing it in because I never use it and I bought it to be used temporarily when I dropped my sunpak off a roof and it broke. Plastic Heads...ugh.

I can do Paypal, it was going to be my suggestion actually. I'm still a maybe on the TN meet. So we'll see what happens in July?

If you find an alternative or anything, lemme know, I have a friend who said he'd take my dslr if I upgraded but he wont have the cash until who knows when...christmas?

Black is more professional and makes for a better credibility prop.

A doubt your average joe cop can tell the difference between a Rebel XT and 1Ds.



To keep packspace to a minimal, I'm only bringing two lenses so I guess that means we will have to wait until later in the summer.

Are you talking about to Indy? If so thats fine, I can wait until Spiderpex. When you bring it there, could you charge the batteries up so I can use it there (Spiderpex)? I currently dont even have my shitty PnS anymore lol

The XS is a step down from the XT/X2 line.

The XTi doesn't offer much more than the XT either.

Either go for an XT or XSi IMO.

The XSi is a better camera you can get a basic kit including camera, lens, battery and battery charger for about $450-500 on ebay.

XT kits go for $300-400 for the camera, lens, battery and charger on ebay

The deal with mine is I'm throwing in two CF cards (I paid $30 + $45 at staples) and the second lens ($90 adorama) a spare battery ($20).
