They removed the location at the owner's request I believe. I know what place you're talkin about and I drove by it once to make sure i was lookin at the right place, but didn't go in.

Yeah Misfit and Abstract did all of the exploring.. I originally heard of the place from Exkali and told Misfit and Abstract about it. I never had a chance to get back up to Bowmanville to check it out.

Not to nitpick, but Exkal heard about the place from us. We were the ones that hit it first. I'm not trying to be an asshole or anything, but Abs and I work hard to make sure that this place stays more or less under wraps. I'm not really at liberty to talk about it publicly, but let's just say that the info wasn't taken down because of the owner.

If you do visit, be sure to be careful, it is a semi-active site.

I know you guys did all the exploring but Exkalibur told me about it, then I told you guys... That was long before anybody had explored it.

I heard something about it awhile ago, but never really thought about it. Then Abstract and Misfit told me about it. Then I told Raider

Roadwolf and I went there yesterday, ran into the owner of the place. It looks really run down though.

The owner seems to be around more and more. I think Abstract and I may have just gotten lucky being around during a time when nobody was there.

He told us it was being used for a school to help intigrate chineese imigrants into the canadian school system ? which could be total bullshit, but none the less... also there seemed to be power on in one of the buildings, I saw a lit Exit sign?

He's telling the truth. I've researched the place extensively, get in touch with me via PM if you want to know more about the history, etc. Anyways, some of the buildings still have power, but most are not of concern, as long as nobody is around. Again, PM me if you want more info.

I'm moving into the area - just a hop skip from my back yard. Info on this site and the activities that ocurred in the past is available online...

Twisted metal on rossland near the CP tracks.

Hmmm, let's see what I can think of off the top of my head:

Uxbridge:
- old trains from the Heritage Railway, plus farmish buildings nearby
- barns near the Durham College land grant at 6th concession and Hwy 47
- old shack in woods near Hwy 21 and 6th Conc
- too bad the old Anne of Green Gables set is gone, lotsa cool stuff there including a lighthouse in a field! Township burned it down rather than maintain it!

Middle of Nowhere:
- 2 areas near Westney & Hwy 7

Pickering:
- tons of abandoned houses/farms
- repair shop near Brock / Taunton
- railway underpass off Bailey, leads to "other side of tracks" and curious what is there

Here's a couple more locations:
