The court did not comment Tuesday in turning away a challenge from a Maryland pastor and others who are trying to get a measure on the ballot to allow Washingtonians to vote on a measure that defines marriage as between a man and a woman. Bishop Harry Jackson led a lawsuit against the district's Board of Elections and Ethics after it refused to put that initiative on the ballot. The board ruled that the ballot question would in effect authorize discrimination. Last year, Washington began issuing marriage licenses for same-sex couples and in 2009, it began recognizing gay marriages performed elsewhere.

I don't agree. I can see where they'd reject the OT, but the vast majority of Christians only reject the parts they don't like. They keep Genesis and the Ten Commandments, for example.

i just god as a term people can recognize. i dont know what the name of the thing that created us is. i just believe there had to be a starting point. and i know that there cant be emptiness that suddenly becomes full. something had to create it. had the create the first molecule or speck of dust or whatever.

Actually, in Stephen Hawking's new book, he explains how something (i.e., the universe) came out of nothing. Have it, haven't read it yet.

in the bible? i dont know. i just know how to poke holes in bigots arguments against homosexuals. i just believe something created. be it god. allah. buddah. or a monkey with a mean overbite. i would love for us to have all the answers and not rely on myths and legends and faith and uncertainty. i hate not knowing 100% what the truth is.
