Hmmm... I need it for an older system, but I'll let you know. It may not support ISA bus.

I am looking for RAM, HDD's, processors etc. I plan on building something with the following specs:

  • CPU: Pentium 3 - 600 MHz MINIMUM! (I'd like to hit about 1 GHz or higher)
  • RAM: 256 MB minimum (I'd like 512, 768, or greater)
  • HDD: 15 GB (20-40 would be nice)
  • PSU: 200 Watt or more
  • and any other things like LAN cards, keyboards, mice, etc.
  • Almost forgot, I need a motherboard

I have some money, but not much.....

I have a shitload of old stuff to trade though... I'll get some pictures after I take a shower.

I noticed, unfortunately I didn't have the $$ at the time. I'm just going to scavenge for now...

Here's what I can trade:

Case with 250 Watt PSU(not ATX), 16x CDROM, FLOPPY, PI processorat 166MHz, MOBO, 64 MB RAM, and I can add any of the cards I posted below.

I have the following that I would be willing to part with.

- A few 128 MB DIMMs
- P3 933 CPU (no MB )
- Generic 300 watt PS
- Lots of 10/100 NICs
- Lots of old video cards

Make me an offer.

I'm not to good with offers... I don't like ripping anyone off. On ebay I can get a PIII and 2 sticks of 128 MB RAM for 15 bucks. So it's all up to you what you want to charge. Whats the socket type on the cpu?

EDIT: The processor for sure I'll buy. I'm also interested in two sticks of the 128, depending on if they'll be compatible with the motherboard I am looking at. I might be interested in the PSU. If there is anything you want from my stash of crap, let me know. I also have a 128MB stick of laptop pc2100 RAM.

What socket is the P3 900? I have an 750mHz P3 Socket370 that I would rather replace with that P3.

The P3 933 is a Socket 370. Your MB has to support the 133 bus speed or it only runs at 700.

I was thinking $35 for the CPU and $20 each for the 128s (the same parts are going for around $60 and $40 used at most places in Ottawa). CAD of course.

Alright, I have about $40 USD (around 48 CAD) and a paypal account. That's all I have... The processor is all I desperately need, since they don't sell many P3's anymore. If you don't want to sell and ship it to me for that low, that's ok. I have another option for a 1 GHz that comes with a heatsink+fan.

I don't get what you mean...

EDIT: should I just go for the 1 GHz? I got an offer for This heatsink and This CPU from a buddy for exactly what I have and he lives only about 2 miles away. Oh, and if anyone wants to make sure the Proc and the Heatsink are compatible for me....

Ok, I'll take $40 US for the CPU plus two 128s. Shipping to Colorado isn't that bad.

I guess JJ was saying his MB doesn't support the 133 bus. As I said, the P3 933 needs a 133 bus to run at full speed. If you are not sure tell me what MB and chipset you have and I'll look it up.

Is the stuff still under warranty? Cause my friend's stuff is still in the box under warranty and he has a receipt and just incase something fails... I don't like to sound rude, but I'm probably just going to take his offer. But I might buy some of your RAM when I buy my mobo and crap...

Nope, no warrantee. Everything worked last time I used it and I will test before sending it out, but other than that it comes "as is". No offence taken at all if you find a better deal.

Washu, I have a question. Would I see a great deal of better performance if I switched from a 735mHz to a 933mHz?

Crayon, the second PCI card, it has a VGA port. Is it a 8mb or higher graphics card? Im interested

Probably not. Especially if the motherboard doesn't support the 133 bus speed.

Thing is, I can grab a 133 FSB motherboard if I want it, but no CPU.

My specs:
35GB Maxtor HDD's (20+15)
512mb PC133 RAM
128mb nVidia GeForce4 MX 4000
PIII Coppermine 735mHz CPU

From those specs, with the 133bus MoBo, would I see any performance increase?

Depends if you put a celeron in or a coppermine. Celerons just suck in general.

Anyways, Now I have to go MoBo shopping... any recommendations? I've got this heatsink and this CPU, and I've been looking at this motherboard. As far as compatibility goes, to me, it looks like they should all work together. But if someone would double check for me it would be appreciated.
