can you get linux onto the ipaq? there is a linux install for the ipod, although i haven't tried it yet, after reading that it locks up sometimes (and they're unsure why, but it might be the ARM arch code).
yeah, i have no need for a PDA, i want raw audio playback, which is why i bought the ipod. my cellphone can store my numbers and addresses, dates and task reminders, sync up with my mail server at home, and all that. there isn't much that any PDA out there now can do that my PC/cellphone combo can't do. the PDA's do not play music as well (and if you download from kazaa, then you clearly are not an audiophile and should not be taken seriously while rating sound quality) and most definately cannot sort music the way an ipod with winamp or itunes can. hands down, an ipod is the best thing for listening to music on the go. even the archos (which does video as well) fucks up like crazy. i haven't had to reboot my ipod, and shouldn't ever have to. the archos needs rebooting often.
a/w, imho, pdas are a waste of money, unless you need it because you forget things easily, but a pack of post-it notes would suffice, really.

Cant get linux on Ipaq, the whole PDA system is setup to be 100% compatible with windows, theres no way I could get Linux on mine. Does Linux have an audio player that plays WMA's, and MP3's? I dont use my IPAQ for reminders much, just for playing games and watching movies, listening to music and stuff.

Try XMMS. The interface is a workalike for Winamp and actually makes a few improvements on it. Not sure if it plays WMAs, but I'd imagine you can find a plugin for it.
