Not a bargain, but looks to be a decent car. The trailer hitch scares me.

http://belleville....W0QQAdIdZ309164123

Good price if it's as solid as they say.

http://belleville....W0QQAdIdZ296665198

I'd offer $750...

Seller is illiterate, but I love the car... it's not a 1st gen, but I LOVE the red/silver second gen cars.

A lot of vintage yards here do that. Small vintage parts that fit easily in your pocket kept vanishing. So, many vintage yards have a min. 10 or 20 buck walk in fee. Plus, incentive to go ahead and get that $20 part ya was puttin off

Most of the yards here are free or charge $2. I'll stick with them.

Normal yards do that here. Simple pull your parts charge $2. But those usually have maybe 1 or 2 pre 70 vehicles and only about 10 pre 80's at any given time.

It's only the vintage yards, that have mostly pre 70 vehicles that charge such a high amount to go in.

the yard that I visit most is owned by a guy who knows who's full of shit and who isn't. I went back into his yard just to take pics and he was cool. In fact, I harvested a bunch of knobs and odds and ends out of a Beretta and Corsica. I showed him the pieces/parts to ask the price. He laughed and told me to take them.
I tell you this, Big Mike is NOT a guy you want to even thing of fucking around with.

Ugh... what a freaking idiot.

"Doors are welded shut"... yes, I see that. Either that or they're held on with bubble gum, because that's what it looks like.

I sent him an e-mail asking that he please refrain from modifying any more vehicles.

I used to live near and old guy like that, he has about 300 cars from the 40s-60s lying around his property. Anyone I ever met that had been there said he greeted them with a shotgun and told them where to go. I've been by about 20 times with a camera and have never had an issue, he loves showing off his "collection" and talking about cars.

Now, to get in his will...
