Here's his:

Oh, thanks for the input Aaron. I needed a laugh this morning.

Now you should go back to writing shitty articles for Wayback Wheels, you Canadian pussy. Just in case, I saved a bunch of good pictures from your Facebook page to fuck around with and post on the internet.

Have a nice day,
-Rick

And what I sent to begin with.

Please stop modifying cars, it isn't your calling. Or if you do continue, please start using something like Sunfires and not classic VWs.

Thanks.

And my final reply:

Hi Rick, thanks for the quick reply.
You really don't handle criticism too well, Rick. It also sounds like you're unemployed if you have enough time to hack into my Facebook page (which is a private profile) and take my good (I'm not very photogenic, I don't know which ones are good) photos. You should really check out the "careers" section on Craigslist, maybe there's a junkyard out your way that needs someone to cut up scrap cars with a reciprocating saw.

Also, if you do fuck with my photos, please shop me into some situations with celebrities, as I could use the extra cash from royalties.

Have a great weekend!
Aaron

Nope, that's definitely a custom job. They did make trucks like that but that one is the home made version.

Edit: just realized it has a Chevy V6, too. Kill it with fire.

Sorry for the huge list, but SW Virginia is LOADED with nice, old vehicles. This is only a fraction of what I saw.

Possibly the worst car I ever owned. I miss it, and would buy another.

Rally car for Skelly.

That car I think is the one that won the Oregon Trail Rally in '82!

I was thinking the same. I think it was also on Rally in the 100 Acre Wood posters from the early 80s.

not really a big fan of the 1.8L OHC engine... in the passenger cars, it was a boat anchor. I can't imagine how it would hold up trying to race it.

I saw a GOLD Chevy Monza the other day, on the road, not on fire, not making excessive noise, no blue smoke, no rust, not a show car. Completely stock. The design is actually quite cool. When they came out, I remember laughing (for good reason) hearing how the engine had to be lifted to remove one of the spark plugs. In those days I was all about air cooled VW's. Four bolts and the engine's on your lap/floor...

Finally found my beater with a heater :) 500.00. No rust, stack of repair records for work done, low miles. Glad my 3 Chevy V8's didn't hurt the little non conforming Mercury 88. They must understand the need to save the gasoline.

Clear coat is a mess, but the car looks great in the rain when everything blends.

P.S. If you want retro cool power my bro is selling his '79 Trans Am. 6.6, built, plus a second car, same year.

my brother had a 91 or 92 Topaz... that car had the shit beaten out of it. It eventually got so beat that he couldn't drive it anymore. Got it to 175,000 miles and sold it for scrap. The guy that bought it, drove it home, yanked the engine out and put it in his wife's Tempo and drove it for another four years. The engine design of the Tempo/Topaz was pretty rugged. It was just that the rest of the car was a lesson in "what the fuck were you thinking?"

Amazing, I bet on 9 out of 10 cars you have an interesting story to go with. I always enjoy your informative 'unique' posts.

This car makes weird gurgling noises when idling. Also the fuel pump whines like a sick puppy, and the horn seems to be installed in the glove compartment, beside the fuel pump, because that's where the noise comes from. But I don't even care!

Am starting to like this car, despite the idiotic shape of the drivers seat. Not all bad inside though. Hopefully the 2.3 Valencia will hold up for a while. Has okay power for running around with one or two on board.
