| | | Posted by HarvestmanMan Some may find fault with this, but when creating this thread I was thinking more of cars with definitive styling which has held up over the years, or older...which doesn't fit many of the above, in my opinion. For example, compare the Ro80's design to the 3rd-generation Audi 100/200/5000...when other manufacturers are using the same styling cues 15 years after the design has been introduced, then that's a design that holds up well. I do agree with some of yours: the original Corvette, the 90s Camaro, and pretty much any Nissan besides the 370Z, which is just butt-ugly. Edit: Add the Audi to this list also. And these... http://upload.wiki...be_liftback_02.jpg http://porsche-ins...9/Subaru-SVX-3.jpg ...still look like they could be rolled off as concept cars over 15 years after they were introduced.
| Mazda engineers referred to the Probe as the 'pretty' one when they were doing the work on the Probe and MX-6. That car suffered from wonky mechanicals, though. Personally, i found they were one of the most attractive cars that Ford produced in the mid-90's. Now, the SVX is kind of an enigma... it was supposed to be a sports car that didn't come with a manual transmission? The styling was great, interior full on functional, but... they went the way of the XT and disappeared into obscurity. as for the Aztek... well, yeah, it was shit. What did suck is it had one of the most useful and logically laid out interiors I have ever seen. What's even weirder is that every Aztek owner i've ever talked with LOVES that ugly ass of a car. WTF?
