Posted by Meliam Hi I"m Mel, 16 from Whitby Ontario. I have yet to really explore yet but I'm hoping to get to explore more and more as time goes on.

Meliam, welcome to the site and to the fun of exploring. You just happen to be in a very good area in terms of UE attractions. The Whitby Psych may no longer be around much longer but the area of Durham Region is a wealth of other UE opportunities. If all goes well, lopix and I intend to check out a new location this weekend in this area. It's a relatively safe first-time type UE if you're interested.

I've been to the psych with my sister (emotionless) but sounds like fun.

Hey guys. I've been a member of this board in the past, but took myself off the member list a while back. Now that things are a little more active, I've re-joined and look froward to discussing the area with everyone. I currently live in Bowmanville and should be here for at least another two years.

Hey I should have introduced myself sooner but here it goes...........
My name is Zero-trace. I grew up in Oshawa and moved to a suburb of Detroit and then London. I still consider Oshawa my home base and the U.E. Locations are much better in the Durham area than in London. My favourite spots were/are: the Psych, Buffalo Central Terminal, UWO steam tunnels, and the Hearn powerstation in Toronto. I really want to check out the old Labatt brewery in Toronto and the asylum in Kingston.

zero-trace: Looking forward to exploring with you someday!

I'm Squidgit. I am originally from Cobourg/Port Hope area, but now live in Brighton where my husband (Atomx) is stationed in CFB Trenton. I've explored with Fedge, bandi, and misfit in the past, but hoping there will be another meet soon enough!!!

Hey, I'm Bre (or Poisonne)! I'm sixteen, and I live in the wilds to the North of Bowmanville. Mostly, I've been exploring a few different houses around the Tyrone (yes, it's a small town and no, you've never heard of it before) with a buddy of mine, but I've been looking for more interesting places. Looking forwards to UEing with some of you guys in the future! ^^

I know Tyrone...it has good tarts in the mill LOL.

They guy who runs the CD store in Bow-ville lives in Tyrone. I like it there, very picturesque! There are sites around Tyrone?? I know a few up by Enniskillen/Haydon, but right around Tyrone?!? Hmmmm....

Good donuts too, Indiana. =P Just don't drink the cider ... We had a bunch of people sick because they don't pasturize it ... ><'' Well, they're /near/ Tyrone. Just to the East of Tyrone runs a road called Bethesda Road, you continue up that road past sixth concession there's a house, just across the road from where my best friend happens to live, there's another on a smaller road down the Sixth Concession called Acres road. There's yet another in a thick clump of forest off of sixth, but it's not really worth the hike. ^^; And yes, there's the abandoned house up in Enniskillen (which I'm afraid I've never gone to), but I've never tried sites in Hayden -- the people there dislike me greatly. ;) Haha.

There are quite a few field stone farm houses in your area. I am guessing the one you are talking about on Bethesda is one of them. There is one field stone house on Acres that is in the Ontario heritage database I know this house pictured below is somewhere between Bowmanville and your area but i cannot remember the exact location
I have been by it many times but the one time i stopped was when i was with Ares and Fedge. We were confronted by a neighbour who didnt take kindly to our interest in the place I would like to know more about the house in the woods. I love exploring old buildings hidden amongst the trees

This is on Conc 4, east of Liberty, AFAICR... Definitely into checking out places north of Bowmanville, even if it does mean a bit of hiking.
