I used to run long distances and that's a pretty good practice for running away when you get caught, and I always loved climbing. I usually attend a indoor climbing gym and think that is a pretty good practice for UE.

I am a pretty avid rock climber and have found that to be an excellent skill to have. Go spend a couple of days doing some sport climbing and you'd be amazed how quickly you can gain some climbing skills! Here is a quote for good measure: "My adventures with Jinx have me convinced that its members could use a few days in a climbing gym—they are clumsy at best—and I have half a mind to buy them each a good helmet." Outside Magazine - Wild in the Streets... I also do a lot of trail running which helps with balance and endurance...

In gym class they used to make me run 10 minutes a day.. which came in handy one day in an abandoned mental hospital when I ended up running nearly a half a mile across open fields to avoid security (granted security is indifferent at this location.. however I don't take risks like that)

I finally appreciate gym class...

May I add, Dance Dance Revolution is AMAZING.

Well said Duck. Although I'm not a climber by hobby I've picked up quite a few skills just going to the rock gym every now and again with my rock-climbing buddies. I just mimick them and it never fails that eventually I use those skills while UE'ing.

I'm a full time competitive swimmer. It's a great sport that works your whole boddy and does amazing things for your overall bodily control, strength and stamina. Even getting in the pool a couple of times a week and swimming laps will show great results as far as the overall energy and strength of your body.
