I'm also up for anything in Eastern/ South Eastern Mass.
I know Fall River is chock full o' fun places. And other than that, I have no idea where anything is there, and I'm willing to tag along.

I think we should work out a weekend date and have a meet-up at a place like the Taunton Hospital or something.

I live in Fall River and I can't find anything fun to do here. If you know some please let me know because this city sucks man. Sounds awesome that you wanna met up with people. We're actually taking a trip back to Devers in Taunton tomorrow night with a few friends. The funny thing is, the first time we went there were definitely other people there too, and they just screamed bloody murder in the middle of the place. If I were them and seeing others there I would of met them and asked if they could chill and show us around and such. No need to scare us away. (because thats what they accomplished) > Ya know what I mean? It would be awesome to met up with people and share the same hobbies together.

Are these just random structures in the middle of the woods or something? Do you have an exact location? I'd love to check it out.

theres only one actual gate....at the entrance to the cemetery. the rest of the "gates" are trees across the trail/rocks on either side...that sorta thing.

p.s. im new. :)

Blegh, another one of those places where the locals seem to get pissed off if you linger around.

If I lived anywhere NEAR there, I would be wicked psyched. New Bedford has NEIGHBORHOODS of abandoned buildings. I have a bunch of friends down there who I explore with, it's wicked sweet. I'm jealous of them for not having to drive an hour to get there.

Sweet man. I believe I heard something about whole neighborhoods being abandoned. Never thought they'd be around here. Sure there are factories here that are abandoned, and they are really kewl, but you want more after seeing the same stuff for a while. I don't really go into New Bedford too much but thats awesome man.

I used to live in New Bedford and there really wasnt much to see. The only interesting thing was the TB Asylum that was on the coast but that was gutted last year.

Sorry 'bout the misunderstanding. When I said "neighborhoods" I meant blocks and blocks of factories and warehouses, not so much people houses. My skills with words are that of a sharpened STICK apparently! My B. I WISH there were blocks and blocks of abandoned people houses.

I can see what you mean by it getting boring, though. For me, it's exciting because there's nothing like that around here, but I suppose if you saw it all the time you'd be like "boring, man, way boring."

I've only seen a few spots in Fall River, but I've talked to a lot of different people who've seen a lot of different spots. And New Bedford sounds like Bridgeport, CT. It's like a warzone there. Blocks and blocks of abandoned factories, homes, parking lots, shops and industrial/port spaces. But also lots of random gunfire.

So.. with Memorial Day being this weekend, and most of us having no work/school on Monday, shouldn't we have made a plan for a Sunday/Monday meeting in Taunton or Fall River weeks ago?

What are the spider gates? Any resources, stories? etc?

Actually, spider gates and "7 gates are different. Spider gates is an old quaker cemetery in Liecester, 7 gates are 7 "gates" in the woods that are supposedly haunted by mental pantients

I propose a Eastern MA get together. Like official and stuff.

We shoudl meet somewhere T accessable for those less fortunate to be mobile. We could drive around and hit some of the bigger spots over a day or two. And have smaller local groups go to local spots.

Everybody could pick their own favorite local spot and bring their "team" there. Show them around and whatnot.

Problem is, we're talking about a LOT of gas money.

IMAGINE IF WE COULD RENT BUSSES? Man, that'd be the balls. Too bad it'd be even more money than just driving around. Does anybody OWN a bus!?!??! Come on. Someone's gotta.
