| | | Add one Ottawa member to the list of attendees. I can successfully accommodate three other people in my car, and will be good for any exploration that puts me back in Markham around 6pm or so. Yes, I'm relatively new to the UE scene, so anything in Toronto (besides Massey Ferguson and the Brickworks) is going to be new for me. Peace, me

| | | We try to avoid the Brickworks at meets. It has this mentality of being the "sure thing" if everything else has failed - which doesn't happen very much.
To bring the thread back to topic, are we going to meet somewhere other than the café, or stick with what we've got? |
Right now I think we're all assuming the meet is still at the Liberty café down in Liberty Village. Maybe we can figure out a new location... at this meet, or something. Try and get something productive done.... >_> <_< >_> ... yeah right.
Here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you. |

Although, if anybody IS up for the Brickworks, I wouldn't mind seeing it. This will be my first trip out to Toronto for UE. Actually, scratch that. [last edit 11/13/2005 11:12 PM by -MisfitStyle- - edited 1 times]

| | | Get on the QEW, take it East until it becomes the Gardiner. Get off at Jameson. Jameson Northbound take a right at Springhurst. Continue on Springhurst to Dufferin, go left at Dufferin to go North. Right on Liberty. 4 blocks, cafe on the right. Got your PM Watson, if I can come along we'll be ok on directions... been to the cafe a couple times now and I know my way around the city quite well.

Better to discuss that sort of thing in person at the meet, methinks.

Pretty much what you'd expect. They made a huge public post sent out to the 300+ registered "members" at least 3 weeks in advance that they would be going to Hearn specifically. Sure enough, when they showed up (a group of about 18 people), security was waiting for them at the gate. They basically tucked tail, turned, and walked off. Roadwolf and I, and someone else who I am forgetting, watched the entire episode with binoculars from Hearn's rooftop. In case it's not obvious: Don't announce where you're going to be in advance! -av

That'd be Bob I think? Don't forget Shiroi, who was trapped outside in a bush surrounded by guards and dogs in the sweltering summer heat.

Yes, I remember that whole drama because I was planning a expedition to Hearn at time when I was going to be in Toronto again in June and then Boffo told me what happened and well, I didn't not go to Hearn untill last month.
