| | | Mysterious Pile Of Dirt < on 8/10/2007 9:34 AM >
| | | This is near where I live, the corner of two busy streets. This used to be an empty corner lot. Now someone is going to open some kind of business here. But rather than flatten the lot to get ready for construction they left a huge pile of earth right in the middle of the lot then built a road with curbs around it. I don't know what they're trying to use it for but it sure looks odd...

| | | That's pretty funny. Maybe when they're done there'll be a flagpole or a garden around it or something. Or maybe it'll just be a pile of grass. I like that idea.

| | | Most construction sites usually have mounds like that lying around for whatever reason. They usually get cleared out eventually.

Unfortunately that's a bolt cutter proof fence. Try a plasma cutter. Quicker and much more fun! Besides, I hear the construction company was building a huge sand box for some multi-millionaire who wants to be a kid again. He'll even hire some kids to play in it for him.

Fedge, i'm just picking on you and meant nothing mean. As they say where I work, 'if we don't pick on you, it means we don't like you.' so there, we pick on those we like.

| | | My boyfriend does construction stuff like this for a living. I asked him about it and he said the dirt will likely be used to backfill another area on the job site as it's built, and it's likely being kept there simply to keep it out of the way. Until they need it. Or something.

| | | What do you do with extra dirt until you're finished moving other dirt around? Throw it in a pile. I don't think it's much more complex here. Although, if you had actually invested in some tabi boots to climb that high-security orange fencing, some closer pix would help us. And remember the smoke grenades for escape.
