| | HELP! < on 1/5/2008 4:41 AM >
| | | I realize that given locations is a terrible thing to do, but seeing as how I am not a professional, I am having an extremely difficult time even finding the correct name of a building me and my brother so desperately want to explore. I have spent many hours now looking at the pictures on multiple sites and records and other posts and I'm stuck. I was wondering if I could at least get a hint to where the Patuxent Mental Hospital or Patuxent State or Patuxent Institute is. Whatever name it goes by. I realize recently the place was vandalized by scrappers and it infuriates me SO MUCH! I don't want you to think I would do a thing like this at all. It's just that every time I find a potential location it has either burned, been renovated, or demolished.I have been searching all night using clues from posts pictures and Ive scoured Googleearth with no luck. I did find henryton (pat on the back) but no Patuxent. I am tearing my hair out trying to get the general area and have found many different things but I dont know if im right or even close for that matter. Thanks for listening to my problem and would EXTREMELY appreciate some help even though it's against the "code". Im the only one on this forum that hasnt been here. any help would be greatly appreciated. I have reason to believe this place is still accessible and it has captivated me so much I can't bear to not explore and take pictures!!! Can you please help me locate the location on Googleearth or have any other hints besides it being in the woods in northern MD? Thank you so much!

| | | Is all of the property continuously being demolished or just the few buildings in the back? I was there a few months ago and they were just working on the pool building and auditorium/gym. I didn't know if they were just doing that or the rest of the property also.

Very nice of you. There are a lot of awesome people on UER but there are some that think it's really funny and cool to be assholes. You're one of the nice ones, so thanks for that.

| | | Thank you to all who realize that I needed help and have helped me. If it wasnt so dam difficult then I wouldnt ask for so much help. I appreciate all the tips I have gotten from many people. Besides, thought that urb exers were a community, not a hog-all-the-hotspots for me kind of person. Thanks again.

| | | are we just giving away location info to everyone now? i must have missed that memo.
i saw that this dude was from MD in his 'new members' post, so i pointed him to urbanatrophy.com, where i'm a mod and spend most of my time. i told him it's MD-centric, and that there are way cool people there.
not only did i give him detailed information and hints as to how to find this VERY easy location on his own, i told him that if he talks to people and posts photos that people will gain his trust and promote him to full membership, where he'll find more location info than he could ever want.
what'd he do instead? search google for an hour then post the EXACT SAME message on UER, UA, and my email in-box. PLEASE GIVE ME HAND OUTS!!!!!! I'VE BEEN HERE A WHOLE DAY!!!!!
after that? all you people take his back.
thanks. good job.
