After a handful of phone calls i concluded that security will be in place inside the building until it is demolished, at an "undisclosed date in the near future."
That didn't stop Intrinsic and I from popping in for a quick visit. The lights and the heat are still on. A few more walls have been breached and the writing on the walls now indicates that Police Emergency Response Training has given way to Firefighter Training during the weekdays. Some of the furniture has been moved around in a handful of inpatient and interview rooms, re-arranged as if it were to be used again as a Mental Health Services Facility, or maybe the security guard just wanted a nice spot to chill. All of the curtains were now open as well. We crept through the building and managed to explore most of it before hearing the jangling keys and footsteps of security approaching us from the other end of the long 2nd floor hallway. We got what we came for so we proclaimed the mission complete and performed a swift and unnoticed exit.

Excruciating pain is certainly never a good thing. Hopefully the morphine's helping? I have personal experience with each of your postulated ailments (well, my grandmother had the aneurysm, but. . .) and they're NO FUN AT ALL.

Anyway, I did this building one last time in a hospital gown and an IV pump a few days back. Security felt sorry for me and took me on rounds. Nice break in the monotony of morphine dreams and hospital beds. I'll be free of this IV bullshit on Thursday, then I'll get back to posting again. I've got some residential gems up next.

Word is it'll be torn down right soon. Barely resembles a psych ward now that police and fire have massacred it. looks more like a BFBC2 map in there.
