We found an old soap plant, furniture warehouse, and coca cola factory like that out here in the SF area.

If you have an older friend or family member who's pretty laid back and understanding, just ask. My dad still tells me about places he hears about or sees. Apparently my aunt relays places to him for me.

| | | | I find looking at old, sometimes very old aerial photographs and comparing them to recent aerials like google earth really makes abandoned buildings stick out, as the are pushed aside from development or burred in vegetation.
From there is a process of elimination as to what the building is. Then its endless searches through the archives.
If you can't beat them, shoot them!
