No, this was a vertically mounted sluice! Jenns picture was perfect.
It's now upside down and on its side and would almost certainly pose a great danger to its operator.

I'm surprised you didn't airbrush the lathe away.

Without the lathe there is nothing to hold the sluice to the ceiling - and it would surely fall to the floor!

Thanks for backing me, TZ! Um, so the writing on top of the sluice didnt give a clue as to how the sluice was to be installed? I took the photo with the sluice positioned correctly. See, I'm not as dumb as you all think I am!

Oh, in addition... Get an account on TZ's site. He has pictures from all over Scotland. In fact, his pictures made me want to go explore Scotland!

In fact I have many pictures from as far afield as Carlisle and upto Elgin and Aberdeen.
You won't find them posted anywhere though... Not for a few years!!
Further, there is now a 'worldwide' section on The System... Stay tooned for that!

However Lost, I'm heading back to the Elgin location in the future - when it's cooled down a bit... I'll give you a shout if you wanna come?!

Hmm, didn't you say it was a hospital before? Is it anything to do with Dr. Gray's?

No. That's an active hospital. Very

I know, but I think it was recently modernised or added to... they might have abandoned parts of it. My fishing for clues isn't going to work, is it? :(

They didn't abandon any of it - I explored it one night when my wee brother's appendix burst! :->
And no, sorry the clues won't work.
