Paris Catacombs
Running through the Paris Catacombs are several passages which I understand run beneath a series of aqueducts. These passages were built to consolidate the ground beneath the aqueducts. These passages tend to be straighter than most typical passages, and are of a different design. Notably the stones near the roof form a sort of stepped arch.
The passage along Aqueduct de Arcueil.
This is a sign along the wall indicating that this was the passage of the aqueduct. I am not sure, but I think the date mark indicates a water level in the Catacombs.
