Paris Catacombs
La Plage / The Beach.
La Plage is a big meeting point of the Catacombs. It is a series of connecting rooms, pillars and passages. There is several entrances to it. It is also along one of the main passages through the Catacombs. It gained a bit of fame from being mentioned in the book, 'Bad Voltage'.

Passages of La Plage
Like many rooms within the Paris Catacombs, La Plage is filled with some really good artwork.
This is where La Plage gets it's name. This rendition of a wave has for a long time been a centerpiece of the Catacombs. In recent years there has been some senseless vandalism of it. Not only have people done graffiti on it, but they have also ripped out some of the center stones in the wall it was painted on. There is a doll's head in there.
And.... The Beach!
The Wave and The Beach again.
It is sad to note that this work of art has been so badly vandalized. I guess that is the way of the Catacombs, new work replaces old.
Strange metal rods are stuck into the ceiling. These probably once supported power cables.
More things hanging from the sky.
