Paris Catacombs

Salle Zlard is a small series of rooms in the Paris Catacombs. They have a number of paintings on the walls that are well worth seeing.

The tunnel seems to split, but the passage on the right only leads a short way, or so it seems.

This little damp arch leads in to Salle Zlard. I chose to go around to the north into this room to avoid some of the rubbish on the floor.

Some of the graffiti by The Rats. They were a group who extensively explored the tunnels.

A portrait in blue and purple... Salle Zlard.

The Scarabs again.

Three distinctive pillars in Salle Zlard.

Monkey see, monkey do.

The famous K-Taclysme painting in Salle Zlard. I had seen heaps of pictures of this on the Web, but did not realise it was in Salle Zlard.

Monster and baby face. This room was unusual in that some people had left rubbish here. Most of the Cataphiles who explore the Catacombs of Paris are very diligent in cleaning up after themselves.

The little low passage way back into Rue Broussais.

There was some very unusual graffiti down here.

I've seen this guy before I'm sure of it.

The famous Zlard skull. This is the artwork that gives this room it's name. It was hard to photograph as there is a pillar to my right.
