Laparouse Bunker
These two bunkers are normally locked and not open to the public. One day whilst visiting the bunkers I noticed the entrances had been forced open by other explorers. While not approving of the vandalism used to open the bunkers, I did take advantage of the open way and thoughrally explored the two bunkers. I would not encourage others to do the same, as the bunkers have been well documented on this and other web sites. In addition, exploring these bunkers is very dangerous. I had a friend wait above and carried a mobile phone (yes it worked down there) and emergency air supply mask with me.
Overview of the area taken from the look out tower. On the left is the block house and Squeese bunker. On the right is La parouse bunker.
