Do NOT enter

Bad Or the case of the not-so-Bad Rating:1st January 1998.
This drain is close to Mini-Tenth
Despite the name this drain is not so bad after all. It's a relatively short drain, nothing special but it certainly is not a bad drain. It is average, and there's not much to see but it is worth doing.

Map
of drain with entrance and exit marked
Note: The map is not accurate and is drawn from estimates
of where features are in relation to above ground.
1. Entrance. Located in an open drain, this drain is east of a large new housing development just north of a road. The tunnel starts off as a RCP, about 1.8 meters high. The tunnel plunges under the new housing development where a number of new small side pipes enter the drain. A few manholes can be observed in the tunnel roof.
2. Exit. Some way down the tunnel there is a short set of stairs before the tunnel continues on eastwards to the exit in Riversdale Golf course. The exit, at the upstream end of the tunnel is one of the tunnels two mildly interesting features, the other being the stairs. It is notoriously slippery and blackberries grow all around it's southern side so make sure you don't use one for grip. It's probably easiest to exit this tunnel by returning along it to the entrance.
My memories of Bad were that it was an average tunnel, that really did not deserve it's name and was well worth doing, especially if you were already in the area.
