Some drains are big enough to drive in. One drain in particular is easy to drive into, possibly too easy because some idiots dump cars in it. Some years ago I decided on a whim one night to go driving down the drain. I just turned down the street and drove on down into the drain. It was so cool that a couple of nights later I took my friends with me to do it again. We got quite a few photos and some video tape of it. I later got permission to drive down here for water testing purposes and took some more photographs.
It is now not possible to drive in the drain because it is alarmed. Detector loops alert a police station just 3 minutes drive away so I would not drive in this drain and do not recommend anyone do it.
Warning driving in drains can cause a dangerous build up of carbon monoxide and other gasses which may be fatal! Do NOT, repeat, do NOT try this, unless qualified with an enclosed spaces certificate and legal permission.
Do NOT enter drains. Read this warning!
