Sin city is by far one of the more beautiful and interesting drains in UA City. It has a sort of old world charm to it. The open canal section is, in my opinion, far more interesting than the underground section of the drain. The old rickety bridges over the canal and the houses being built above it add character.

The entrance to the canal that first attracted my attention

Every now and then there are bits of open canal.

There are short stretches of tunnel

Metallic roofed tunnel leads to a stretch of open canal.

This section of open canal featured these three bridges. The first one was home to a huge dog the likes of Cujo. It was tall enough to stick its' head over that fence. The bridge didn't look all that secure so I waited until it left.

Above and below. This bridge featured 3 bridges in one. Two for the footpaths and one for the road in the middle. There was a bit of rubbish in the drain here.

The drain split, the one on the left was not worth exploring as it was way too low.
Note the new housing development ahead which the drain ran under.

This is the underside of the houses in the image above. Drain and water pipes are exposed along with the bridge foundation.

Just up from the houses I found a mobile phone in the drain. Its' display was water-logged though. I later left it further down the drain.

More tunnel. This is where the drain meets the large underground diversion tunnel.

There is a wall across this drain section to divert water down the larger underground tunnel.

Upstream entrance to the drain.

Back downstream looking over the wall to the open canal. The blue object is a small children's ball

The high main tunnel decides to get low.

Tunnel.

Stalactites on the roof of the main tunnel

Yep, that's where Donald Cullen went, up there.

The drain, and many others, have red lechate deposits on the floor. These tend to be slippery.

Light at the end of the tunnel.

The lower end of the tunnel system. The canal on the left leads to the open canal sections.
