This drain was abit of a surprise as I had no idea of what to expect. It is a bit of a way out of the city. It is built under a new road bypass. strangely, this drain is not a Water Authority drain, but a Road Authoruty owned drain. It has been painted a quite nice tan like colour with a fine gravel surface, much like a villa style wall. Very classy drain this one.
The drain is quite wide, each section easily large enough to drive a car through. Not that you would want to. It would be impossible to get in, and impossible to get out. There is a big deep pit full of water at the central section of the drain.
The drain seems to be a popular spot with the locals judging from the guys I met in there, and the large amount of graffiti inside the drain.

In from the entrance the right side tunnel is quite dry, with little water in it.

Side tunnel
Some way up the drain the sound of water can be heard. On the right wall of the drain two 'doors' can be seen. These lead to a side tunnel which in turn leads to an overflow in a nearby lake. It is possible to crawl way up these (painful) and peer out at people from the middle of the lake.

The end of the drain is not all that exciting. It just comes out into a creek bed where ducks tempt you intgo the water to chase them. The Vicroads sign is a bit unusual, as most other drains tend to be owned by local councils or UA City Water.
