The space tracking station

I visited this pace on its' open day, but that does not make it any less interesting. I got to see a few bits that were not on the regular tour.

No Idea what GRTS stands for.

Satellite Dish

The main active dish. It is not till you realise that the door in the bottom is large enough to drive trucks through that you realise just how big the thing is.

The main dish is 52 metres wide.

The 24 metre self tracking dish.

The 36 metre dish, it used to be a 24 metre dish before it was extended.
