The Rail Yard
I came across the rail yard quite unexpectedly one day. It offered an oppertunity to photograph many abandoned and decrpid machines, once the life of the nation's rail system, now rotting in decay. I could have spent the entire day there, but I had a truck to deliver to another city. Still, these pictures were very moving in some deep way. It was like, with only a little work and a spot of fuel, these mammoth machines would work again.
A nice image with much in view, from the old boxcar to the cow catcher and set of wheels.
The rail yard was quite extensive
