| | | I had high hopes for the CR-Z, but after reading Car & Driver's road test of it, it seems disappointing. And I'm with Sam, it would be nice if they made a straight gasoline version. But still, for the needs and wants you described, seems to fit the bill. Hope it works out well for you, sorry to hear about the Cobalt.

i am retardedly upside down in my Cobalt. Right now, on my bill, the payoff is $15k. The car books for just about $8k. you see my problem.
| See it and have been in it. My solution was to let my ex borrow my ZX2. She totaled it into a light pole. It wasn't a plan, but it just worked out that way. Yeah, ya gonna have to get new sadly. And with that much upside down, its gonna have to be a $20+ vehicle to get out of it really. I'm gonna suggest something your not gonna like but it would be a smart way to get out in a few years, and its not just because of what I like. Trade it in on a new Jeep Wrangler. They hold their value very well, and you can hide that much negative in the price. You can get back out of it after 3 years or so. You won't have lost as much value. But I know your not really a fan lol. Otherwise another easy way out is to find the shortest lease term you can, trade in on it if they will, and dont drive it much. That should get you out in 24-36 months. I wish you the best luck. Its just hard to find something that doesn't lose a lot of value quick that is in the 20-30k range and the new Wranglers tend to hold it well. Ya know lol.

| | | Went and looked at the car in person on Friday (and to see if i would FIT in it). I really liked the car. The dashboard was like something you'd expect to see in X-wing fighter, seats were comfy, steering wheel was infinitely adjustable and I fit it in. I didn't drive it, though, because if I drove it, I probably would want it. I just keep coming back to the hybrid part of it and I brought my concerns up to the salesperson... the hybrid part of the drive is covered for 15 years or 150,000 miles which does calm my jitters about it. The sticker was a little more than I wanted to pay, but it is a hybrid and it was nicely equipped... if i did get one, I would want a few more options and definitely not in white. I was thinking that nice blue or maybe red. so overall, i do like the car. I like that it's a true two-seater.
