| I don't know about electrical tape, but teflon tape is something I've used. It's super thin, so you can be very gradual with it. Otherwise, I just waited until it was well healed at a size and used a taper. The first time I stretched, I had it done by a pro...once. The rest I did myself. For well healed pierces, particularly ear lobes, you can get really creative making your own stretching jewelry out of femo or sculpy clay. It's not overly sterile, so take it easy stretching, but it is a fun way to stretch. Again, depending on the pierce, you can take out the jewelry you have in and put in 2 smaller pieces that, when put together, are larger than the one you took out. For instance, take out 8ga and insert two 10ga pieces or 10 and 12, or three 12's, etc.
