Just wondering if there is any possibility of summer vehicular access, even if it requires a 4x4? I don't have a pilot's license yet and I don't think I could convince my father, who has one, to fly me there just to look around. On another note, there is strong talk of reopening several of the mines to supply a possible new nuclear reactor in the living hellhole of Ft McMurray, AB, since they will need to increase their generating capacity nearly 10-fold over the next 20 years. Lets hope it doesn't go through.

There is absolutely no summer road access. There are some extremely rough winter roads that include ice roads. They are only open for a couple months a year during the coldest part of winter. I would recommend a rather large 4*4 to get there in the winter. It also takes about 15 - 20 hours of continuous difficult driving to get there from Prince Albert. Due to it's remoteness and the fact there are several other uranium mines that much more accessible in Saskatchewan, I would be very surprised to see any of the mines open up. I have not heard any talk whatsoever.
