Yes, I'm a 19 year old that hates mostly everything mainstream these days...can't stand punk, rap, techno, well the list goes on... basically all I listen to is old music (1957-1974) for the most part.

I really hate any Pop-punk stupid posers and Rap you can't spell Crap without rap [yeah yeah i know not original]

I truely hate emo and new punk, i cant stand it cause all they do all day is bitch about politics or shitty other problems in there life, or they sound like little girls. God i cant stand it, if i see some one listening to emo or new punk at school, i push them into the wall.

Exactly, old stuff form the 60s-about 96 i can stand, then it went downhill. In meaning punk and grunge type stuff. I like metal right now more than anything right now, second comes Nirvana, and then mid 90's stuff like STP, foo fighters etc.

All manufactured pop from Britney to the early Beatles (the last 3 or 4 years of the Beatles, when they started doing drugs basically, I quite enjoy), repetitive techno dance / trance / shmance / gabber is also horrid. Rap just goes without saying and shouldn't actually be classified as music, poser punk / hardcore bands, any alternative released in the last... 7 or 8 years, polka music (my grandparents listen to it all the time).... that's about it.

As for my musical tastes? I'm a music snob and I absolutely cannot stand modern radio; barely listened to the radio in years. I don't like the mass amounts of what seems like recycled garbage that is unleashed upon the masses as the flavor of the week.

Some of my favorites (if you've heard of any of these, good for you, if not, I suggest looking them up) - Arab on Radar, the Chinese Stars, the Faint, Daughters, An Albatross, Ex-Models, the Locust, Bright Eyes, Le Tigre, Stellastarr, the Faux, Nightmare Bear, among many others.

I never got Bright Eyes.... I reviewed it for a zine once and it sounded like some whiney little bitch sobbing into a mic while strumming open strings on a guitar. Horrid.

yeah some band at my schools "air band" show did mest another shitty bitch punk band. Then at the end of there proformance i yelled "punk is dead" and they tried to find out who it was.
