Yeah, the Jeep had a super ghetto 2" suspension lift and 31x10.5s on it, but with some car ramps I made it onto the dashboard pretty easily. Felt good, man.

I loved that car so much when I bought it and it just fucked me over at every chance it had. I think I successfully drove it for almost an hour in total... worked out to about $50 a minute to drive that car.

Looked nice though.

Making progress on the fuel pump wiring. The thermostat vent for the optional digital AC control (which the car doesn't have) made a perfect spot. The car came with the rear seatbelts, but not the bolts to mount them, so I'll have to make a junkyard run before putting the rest of the interior back together.

I was also offered a decent, if not large amount of money to go to Georgia to help my brother move in 3 weeks, and paint and otherwise help fix up his new house for a week, so this should give me enough coin give the engine everything it needs to succeed, as well as maybe even obtain some A/C parts and pay some bills

Assuming my knee doesn't hit this all the time, I'm feeling pretty good about how this came out. It almost looks stockish.

That's a pretty base model Shelby, most of mine were digital gauges etc ( eh not always better) but they sure look cool!

Daytona: The redemption

It's kinda spartan compared to my old Lebaron, but I prefer the analog. Hardly any of the gadgets worked by the time I bought the Lebaron in 2007. The compass always said south. I like the laziness in having a picture of a Daytona in the systems check. It would occasionally tell me to close the rear doors, or the hatch despite being a coupe, and would constantly interrupt the radio to remind me I'm too cheap to buy gas and other bullshit, and I couldn't mute it because the button was broken. the cruise control was perpetual acceleration, the only button on the Nav that did anything was set, and all it did was beep. Sure looked snazzy though. I'd kill for some more of that fake woodgrain. I liked the digital dash, but kinda hated that it only showed one gauge at a time. Ain't nobody got time for that!

I found a real nice original blue 87 Shelby on my way home from work today that's been parked for a few years (expired tags etc.) nobody was home but I'll stop back Monday. It's been too long since I've had a td headache.

I might actually have all those woodgrain panels still. If I do, they're yours for the cost of shipping.

I don't know if it was something to do with the climate, but I never had a turbo Dodge with buttons that actually worked on the in dash computer... always had to be sure to connect my battery at 12:00 if I wanted the time to be correct.

Good news! Yesterday I went down to the Pull-N-Pay and got a cam from a 94 spirit with 111k. Spent the better part of this afternoon putting it all together and got the car started finally around 7:30. I just need to do some fine tuning with the timing and put the rest of the interior together and it should be ready to go
